Ana Ince, M. Ed., LPC
Ana Ince is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has practiced psychotherapy since 2015. Over the years, Ana has developed a passion for helping people who struggle with Anxiety, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Personality Disorders, Shame, Low Self Esteem, Spiritual Distress, and Marital Distress.
Ana focuses on addressing these concerns by equipping her clients to understand themselves and their struggles well enough to anticipate the challenges they may bring. To achieve understanding requires the development of trust and patience between the therapist and client as they explore and collaborate together. While all client cases are different, the one thing that clients have in common is that they want to get well. They want their quality of life to improve. They want to be free from suffering and this is the focus of each session, to get the client to a better place, empowered with the tools necessary to address any challenge.
Ana graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Counseling. Ana’s training continued at The McLean OCD Institute, where she learned the skills to treat Anxiety Disorders, OCD and Phobias using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Ana attended the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), a three day intensive training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention(ERP), the gold standard approach to treating OCD and anxiety disorders, presented by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). Ana is a certified Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) provider. CPT is an evidence based treatment for PTSD that addresses the thinking patterns that keep clients stuck in trauma and provides relief in PTSD symptoms that resulted from a life threatening event. Ana is also a certified Prepare–Enrich facilitator and can provide premarital and marital counseling. Ana provides different evidence based therapeutic approaches based on the clients individual needs, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy (TGCT).
Therapy groups that Ana facilitates:
Survivors Group: This group meets for 12 sessions and is for adult women with a history of childhood sexual abuse. In a safe and confidential environment, Ana will address the effect that sexual abuse has in the survivors’ identity and their ability to relate with others. She will also address the obstacles to healing from the trauma and equip and empower the participants to address those obstacles in a way that will get them closer to the person they were created to be.
Break Free from Anxiety Group: This group meets for 6 sessions and is for adults experiencing debilitating anxiety. Ana uses evidence based treatment proven to help decrease anxiety symptoms. Ana will offer education on anxiety disorders and the many ways they manifest themselves. She will equip participants with tools and adaptive coping strategies to not only manage anxiety but take back control of their life.
