Julie Ottosen, M.A., LPC
Julie has extensive background in education as well as psychology. She works primarily with children, adolescents, and their parents with special focus on behavior management and educational success.
Julie has practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for over 25 years, She graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Master of Arts Degree in psychology in 1998 and has been a part of Heritage Behavioral Health Consultants since 2000.
Julie’s primary areas of clinical expertise include working with children who are experiencing difficulties relating to divorce, self-esteem, trauma, loss of a parent, social skills, anger management, developmental disorders, and ADD/ADHD. Julie also enjoys providing parent coaching as parents navigate family changes due to divorce, loss, or significant life challenges.
In order to provide the highest quality of care and treatment to her clients, Julie works closely with each client’s support network and offers consultation services and training for parents, caregivers, and school teachers and staff.
