Katie Knapp is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting children, adults, and families through life’s most challenging seasons. Before entering private practice, Katie served in the healthcare setting, where she specialized in providing therapy and psychoeducation to hospital employees and first responders—work that deepened her expertise in trauma, grief, and loss.
Katie has cultivated a strong reputation for her work with postpartum women and parents, guiding them through the complexities of adjustment, identity shifts, and the emotional demands of parenthood. Her clinical experience also includes helping clients manage stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression with compassion and practical strategies.
Katie holds both a Master of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University. Drawing on her background as an elementary school teacher, she brings unique insight when working with students and families, blending her training in education with her therapeutic expertise..
