Andy Wright, M.A., LPC-A

Andy is under the supervision of Julie Summers, M.A., LPC-S. Andy earned his Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Houston Christian (formerly Houston Baptist) University in 1987 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the state of Texas. Andy believes that every person is uniquely and wonderfully created. He likes to use well-established clinical therapeutic techniques such as REBT (rational emotive behavior therapy) to help reveal explanations of the issues at hand. If desired, he can incorporate Biblically-based counseling using Christ-centered applications. His area of counseling experience includes working with adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, dementia caregiving, grief, marital issues, or sexual addiction

What is an LPC-A?

Sierra’s LPC-A status means she has met all the necessary requirements to become a licensed professional counselor in Texas. This includes having a master’s in counseling and passing the national board exam. The main difference between an LPC-A and an LPC is that Associates are still under direct supervision until they complete 3,000 clinical hours.
